I make our espresso (and grind the home-roasted beans) every morning. Despite the amount of time it takes, it's worth it (and going through those motions helps me wake up as much as the coffee does). It's a big investment in time and equipment, but we get wonderful espresso for far less than you can get at a coffee shop. However, when it's time for an afternoon coffee, I'm usually unwilling to go through that again, so we've been trying different instant coffees as alternatives. We've finally settled on this Illy instant coffee, which tastes better than the brewed coffees served at places like Starbucks and Peets. Highly recommended.

Out of the can, it has a toasted marshmallow under with the coffee. I have not had the coffee just straight up, but with some cream and frothing, its like a melted marshmallow right over the fire.

I often will make a cup of coffee using instant rather than making a full pot or when the pot just has enough left for my wife. Usually this means sacrificing taste for convenience and caffeine. Not with this instant. While not a "perfect cup," it's as close as I've come to an instant coffee actually being satisfying for taste. Don't expect it to taste like illy from your barista - it doesn't. It's instant coffee. That said, this one is a keeper for the way I use it.

Very good for an Instant Coffee. Great when you are in a hurry! Much much better than the instant version from the well known Seattle brand - Whose coffee - Instant, ground or beans always tastes burnt/poorly roasted (IMHO)
