This is a quiet, powerful and attractive fan with a nice led light fixture.
The installation was reasonably easy. You must assemble the fan blades onto the rotor. The electrical connections are easy except the fan's black wire will go to your home's neutral wire which is probably white. The fan's white wire will connect to your home's black or other color wire, which is the live line.
The fan's mounting plate must be attached firmly to your ceiling and electrical box, or the fan may wobble.
My remote works perfectly as soon as batteries were installed. No pairing required.
I'm very happy with the fan. My old Hunter Fan died after almost 40 years.
This fan looks better, is quieter and probably uses less energy.
Durability is unknown between mechanics, electronics and remote. We shall see.

The good (yes I will buy again):
Quiet operation at medium speed, air volume is great, 6 speeds, has a lamp, unit physically easy to install, modern looks , Includes all the hardware you may need, remote is included.
Acceptable:
Remote control functions are confusing (not standardize), wiring colors in the remote receiver (inside the lamp) are mislabel, but since is double insulated and fixture has is own ground, this is not a safety issue
Not so good (for me):
If you power off the device using your wall switch, the fan and light does not remember the last settings and stays off, and you need to use the remote control to turn them on again.
Not so sure (may be un advantage for some):
The phone application, is just one more item to load in your phone. Convenient if you misplace the remote, but another piece of software that needs to be monitored.

2 fans on low going at different speeds. update

update. contacted company and there sending me a new fan. great customer service. purchased 2 fans. i want it on low in garage. low on one of the fans in good low speed but the other fan on low is faster. you can see and hear the difference. not sure why. ready to return faster fan. maybe defect but don't like spinning at two different speeds. low speed not so low even on fan that's slower.

I do not like the fact you cannot leave fan on!! Every time you turn off your switch on the wall and back on the fan stops. You have to restart each and every single time with the remote! I didnt know this or I wouldn't have purchased. I haven't been able to find anywhere or any information at all about replacement bulb either! I hate the fact that if the bulb goes out the fan is no longer functional as a light/fan due to the fact you cannot get a replacement bulb! Had I known this I wouldn't have purchased. Would have returned but hubby had already hung fan and said it was way too much trouble to take down (and hang.)
