I bought the set eight months ago and have been using the big tote on a nearly daily basis as my primary purse. Both the leather attachment on one strap and the straps themselves are starting to disintegrate. Generally it holds 6-8 lbs worth of items, to give you an idea of it's use.
The other downside is that it has only two zippered compartments that can hold a small notebook or passport and two open smaller compartments (approx a 3" opening and 3" depth each) and then one large opening. I've had to add a smaller bag to contain glass cleaning wipes, hand gel, etc).
