This chandelier changed the look of our dining room completely. It's not real shiny gold, but also not too brushed. It's very pretty. The six main arms that hold the lightbulbs were very tight and difficult to separate and straighten out. It felt like we were going to damage the piece by forcing them. If you are super handy, you will have no problem putting this together. But, it was a challenge for us and we had to call for help to get this installed. We also agree with another reviewer that it took a while to get the piece centered and straight. Once installed, it opened up our dining room and looks amazing. We are very happy with this chandelier.
