my cat stoped rationing his food for the day and i'm in class all day so i wanted to get something to help spread out his meals. this was perfect, below are some things i wish i knew both good and bad
you can not control it from your phone but the setting are easy to set up a schedule
my cat learned that if he reaches his hand up the dispenser then he can get a few more pieces of food"¦ he is yet to actually get a lot out
the metal bowl is nice and easy to remove for cleaning and the storage container holds a good amount and being a rambunctious kitten he hasn't yet been able to open the top
lastly here is some math to help determine how much you cat should get
the amount that it dispenses at a time is 15grams"¦most food labels will tell you the amount in grams that you should be feeding for their ideal weight divide this by 15 and that's how many servings they should get from the auto dispenser. ( i found that 3 servings (45g) was about 1/3 cup)

I am so glad that this seems to have solved my meowing cat. Gabby seemed to never stop and if I went into the kitchen he started up even louder expecting to eat. This machine has made it so automatic that he now knows exactly when his meals will arrive. AND the most important thing is to NOT put it in the kitchen, I have mine in the sewing room next to the living room but I have an open plan house so I can hear it from the living room to make sure it is working. I can now walk into the kitchen and the cat doesn't even care. I have it set for 2 portions, 3 times a day and I also set the first meal at 2 am that way he is not starving and meowing when I wake up, I get up early around 3 am. But you can figure out what works for you and it's pretty easy to set once you get the hang of it.

This item was easy to set up and durable, holds an appropriate amount of food and has a removable dish to clean. The beep takes a min to get use to since it is higher in pitch. Which works for our cat though. It dispenses quickly. It takes a trial and error to figure out the can size you need ie portion in order to figure out how much your animal needs to eat.

I love the fact I bought this. It takes a lot of pressure off of feeding my cat every day and because of the timing he comes and yells at me right before my voice recording says, "Smokey, time for dinner." He knows when he is supposed to eat, which I think is pretty cool! I am able to leave him for a couple of days when I have to go on my business trips as it is very reliable and has never failed. It is almost like a babysitter sitting him when I need to go outside of my home area for work. Yes, it is that reliable. Because my cat is so independent it works for him. It will work up to 16 days. It has never failed me. If you have a clingy cat or dog, I will not recommend because it is not a substitute for that kind of needed affection. My cat is almost human, so it works well for him. In fact, I combine this with Blink cameras when I leave so that I can talk to him and see that he gives me an almost, "Yep, it's you again" look on the camera and goes on his way. Human, I only need you for food! LOL Well, I hope that this helps anyone considering this awesome product. I am not paid to write this. I just wanted to give an honest opinion as I pondered on this one and a higher end one from PetsSmart. This was a much better choice because the other one just looks cool while this one worked well!

works very well. however when it is dispensing the food it doesn't push it all the way out. thankfully it doesn't get clogged at all but sometimes i need to wiggle it a little so all the food will pour out. other than that it works fine, dispenses the food every day at the same time.
