Before this year, I hadn't seen a product quite like this. I've seen hail blankets, but never a hail cover that inflates. This is a cool solution. Cool, but heavy. I could not imagine taking this off and putting it on every morning and evening. I see this as being a great solution for a vehicle you have parked outside but don't use on a daily basis. A good alternative to using a tarp too. Be sure to check the measurements for fit. It won't fit everything out there, so definitely measure. And, find a friend to help install...it's heavy (remember?).

I've not been able to test this against hail because it hasn't rained in a while. However, I did install it on one of our cars to check the fit and functionality.
The cover fits well and when inflated, it does form a shell that seems and feels like it will protect against heavy hail just fine.
I used my fist to hit the inflated areas to see how much force it would take to cause damage to the car without going overboard. I also threw golf balls and baseballs at the cover. None of those tests caused any damage to the car. No cracks on the glass and no dents on the hood, roof, or hatch.
Overall, I'm extremely impressed with this solution. It truly will protect your car from hail damage.
My recommendation in using this cover is to keep it handy and only install it when hail is forecasted. Use a cheaper cover for every day use instead and make sure the cover pump is working by testing it every once in a while.

The media could not be loaded. The material it uses is thick and strong, so it's heavy. While I can use it alone,but I recommend two people set up it, it's a bit heavy.It worked so well that I tried hitting my car with a hammer and stick. The airbag deflects all my attacks and it protects my car really well.
It comes with 4 adjustable straps with pockets, and those pockets on the cover, very easy to use, I like the clever design.
The inflator is easy to use and inflating the bladder is a smooth process.
My suggestion to the seller is to upgrade the inflator to make it go faster. Because the sudden hail came very quickly, it was necessary to complete the setting of the car cover as soon as possible in a short time.

I had so pretty bad damage to my SUV the last hail storm we had. When I saw this car cover that promised to keep the hail at bay, I had to give it a try. I have a BMW X5 which I would consider a mid sized SUV. The car cover comes in a reinforced box and is extremely heavy. I had to have help to put the cover on my car. This is not something I could have done by myself. I think this takes away from the effectiveness. Once installed on the car it does the job. I had no new hail dents from this last storm which did quite a number on other cars and definitely plants. I gave this car cover 5 Stars. BUT I do need to warn you this is heavy. It is not something you can just quickly throw on your car in a hurry. It takes 2 people and a little bit of maneuvering. Make sure you leave yourself time to properly install the cover and it will do the job.
