After reading a little about the vr cords and buying a vr headset the Meta q2 it was looking like not all usb cords used for linking do much charging if any, and then I saw this type and it works pretty well, someone says in a comment it won't charge if not plugged into a usb3 A type port into your computer while in a power socket simultaneously, but mine does. And it can charge while playing however it's not fast enough to stay above the consumption amount even when I bought a 240watt cord to use in the power portion but it's cool tho when off it'll charge it up pretty quick even with just a regular cell phone usb power cord. I am experiencing some kind of - fuzziness, a halo kind of if the video gets real high quality and it seems to put stress on it like I'm maxing out the cable but that's from streaming through Immersed in 8k watching movies with my friends but in games I haven't had any issues i just play poker and stuff tho nothing too intense gaming yet I would say that the gpu might have something to do with it but I also have the Rift and that's hardwired too and I never had a flaw with it like this, and my gpu is a potato xfx amd rdn580 2048sp. I also after the purchase did notice some cords have a repeater, that might be the kind I buy once I break this cord it's more expensive but might be worth it if it boosts the signal and eliminates the haze durning high frame rate streaming, if that's how it workss? that makes sense right? Lol. Idk I'm new to this so I'm just speculating but all in all great product fast shipping and I recommend this product I give it a B thers a little room for improvement but it does what it says and I fuss.

Thanks to a German reviewer that you can find in these reviews. As long as you follow the instructs he provides this cable works amazingly for the Quest 3! I do not drop not a single PERCENT when running this cable! He explains to 1st ,put the USB into your PC. 2nd, Link cable to Quest. 3rd, Quest charging cable into the smart charging block. No issues at all IF followed. Also start with a full charge so you can see the results. Any other way of connecting I do not believe will work! I kid you not I do not drop a single percentage its actually incredible considering how they say the Quest 3 battery is more powerful. Give it a shot! 100% Happy with my purchase!

It's pretty rare we get cables like this but what this cable does is it reads the battery level on the headset for the quest 2 and then limits the charge to 78% to save the internal battery. It does work and it does do what is advertised. The process I used to get it to work is I plugged it into my pc, then the brick and then my headset. It reads as usb 3, it charges the headset and keeps it at 78% and it is pretty comfortable cable.

I bought this cable a couple months back works great with my quest 2 only problem is it dosent keep my quest charged, it slows down the battery but dont keep it charged
