I bought these because my stove sits about 1/2"above the counter top. There was 1/4" gap on each side. They slide in nice and tight and don't move. They are about 1/2" long than the counter top but not past the stove. The corner is rounded and not sharp so far has not caused a problem. It's to thick to cut with snips, but a bandsaw or jigsaw could cut it to length.

It was snug to snap in into place on the right side of my stove but that's because of the counter top design. But I worked with it and got it to fit pretty well. Make sure and take the white paper off before you put them by the stove. Fills the extra space well so food won't drop down the sides!
