This is a wonderful name badge. I went to the website to download the program to have the current one. The program on the small disk that comes with it is the old version. I had to install the professional version of the program. The easy program just did not work and did not want to connect but the professional version will. It had a charge on it when I received it and I plugged it in to give it a good charge before using it. When I connected it to my computer it was easily found by the program. I had no trouble in adding my own text to it. Then I noticed that when it was turned off to charge it did not charge. It needs to be left on so it would charge. When you add your own text to it you can choose each one to do a different thing such as flashing then the next text can be right to left or left or right or up or down and several other options. And it also has different brightness levels and the brighter that you choose to have it, it will decrease the battery life. So I have mine on the second brightness level to extend the use. I went to a meeting and everybody loved it.

It's interesting and fun to play with. You can have up to 8 lines of text, there are some symbols. Any word over 5 letters will have to scroll to fit. You can adjust the text size, but if you want it readable at normal viewing distances you can't go small.

The battery is on the smaller side. The software does only work with Windows. And the connector is micro-usb, which is the least durable of all the usb connectors.

It's definitely a look if you're wearing it. You'll probably get more use out of it by using it as a small desk sign or something like that.

It works good and is really bright. Comes with a pin on the back to clip it to your shirt or magnets. You have to download files on a computer to program it to say what you want.

The media could not be loaded. Super easy to use and program. It comes with a mini CD but in case you no longer have a CD/DVD-ROM, you can download the app on your PC. It's definitely cheaper to get a bunch of sticker name tags instead but for those wanting to satisfy their inner-nerd; this is perfect. Brightness can be adjusted on the fly using the button on the back of the device and it looks super sleek.

My only gripe is that I wish there were multiple mounting options.

The LED name badge works well, but the instructions and software interface could be improved.

The package includes the LED name badge, instructions, a CD-ROM with the software and a micro-USB cable.

The name badge has both magnets and a safety pin on the back for attaching to your shirt or hat.

The side of the name badge has an on-off switch and a micro-USB port. The micro-USB port is used for recharging the name badge and for transferring data from your computer to the name badge.

The software for downloading messages runs only on PCs, not Macs.

There is a second button on the back which can be used to change the brightness of the badge to one of four levels. I don't think you will ever need to change the brightness.

You can download the software from the manufacturer's website if your computer doesn't have a CD-ROM drive.

The software comes in a .rar file, which you must unzip before trying to install the software. (WinZip worked fine to extract the contents of the .rar file.) The first time I clicked on the Install.exe file, it crashed. The second time, it worked. A pink dialog box appears with three choices: 1. Install program, 2. Professional Program, 3. Help. The first and third options don't work. Clicking on Professional Program installs the software, which works.

After you run the software, you can enter up to eight messages, which rotate on the display. After you've entered the messages, you click "Send" to transmit them to the name badge.

The software lets you include some icons, such as a heart icon.

The badge will run up to 12 hours on a charge and takes 90 minutes to charge.
