So far we have just grown lettuce and herbs and it works great. The only problem (if you want to call it that) is that the lettuce grows so fast and so well that it outgrows the space under the light -- but you just harvest it and let it keep growing. During this HOT DRY summer it was much better than trying to keep a garden alive outside!

I got this to support my two other aerogardens and have it stationed next to my stove with my most used culinary herbs (rosemary, sage, thyme, oregano). Although it claims a capacity of 6 pods, with anything bushy you have 3 maybe 4 that can actually fit without causing health problems with the plants. Does not come with caps to plug the empty slots. Buttons are actually sensors, do not attempt to press as you might break the unit, though I will say the temptation to press is high when the unit is choosing to be insensitive. Not as configurable as some of the other models (lights are set and not really adjustable), but great for what I use it for.

Extremely pleased with this product thus far. The "slim" design of this particular Aerogarden did not disappoint, and the price made this the economical choice, such that this customer has already ordered a second one. Following instructions, the simplicity of growing year-round lettuce, herbs and tomatoes is a win-win proposition for anyone who wants to take up indoor gardening (with no soil!). This customer purchased cherry tomato plants, and all have germinated and are growing daily. This product comes with herb pods included, and which the dill is sprouting healthfully. The stainless steel is a perfect choice, and this would make a superb gift for anyone, even those who feel they do not have that "green thumb" capability. So pleased and recommend.
