These bits work fine in thin material or thicker if you're careful with them (don't overheat the bit / work slowly). The punch works great. The variety of bits make this set stand out, and it's a good value for the DIYer, just know what you are getting at this price and I think you'll be satisfied.

What is there to say? These are step drill bits. The depth you drill to will determine the size hole you wind up with. I will say that these work very well on thin materials like sheet metal roofing or gutters. I bored various sized holes in 1/8" thick plexiglass with no problems other than a little chatter. That could have been the bit, the drill or me. When drilling through metal, you will need to deburr the hole. The bit will raise a little ridge around the circumference. Not bad unless you have critical dimensions that must be met. Tried them out on a brass kick plate for a door. They didn't work too well on that but I believe the cordless drill just didn't have the muscle to make it work. The four bit set is pretty comprehensive as opposed to the three bit sets you normally find at big box stores and tool dealers.
