I purchased this to replace a 16 oz climbing mug from Climbergoods that I dropped and broke. Had they offered it on their Amazon store I probably would have ordered the exact replacement, but I only saw it for sale on their web site and it would have taken like a month to get. This was more expensive but came with Prime same-day delivery.

Compared to my original mug, this one holds slightly less liquid but I don't notice the difference. I wish I could put it in the microwave or the dishwasher, and I see that at least one company sells a mug that can (they use a plastic screw in the hold rather than a metal one... probably works fine because the hold is actually glued onto the mug anyway), but I prefer the look of this one.

I *do* notice that the grip is considerably smaller, which makes this mug harder to hold. I would not recommend it for someone who doesn't already have a strong pinch grip. Unlike what some of the marketing might lead you to believe, you can't "train" with one of these-- you'll likely end up with hot coffee all over you. A mug with a larger grip would be a better choice for someone who's a newer climber or hasn't trained yet.

I love this mug! It made for a perfect gift to my climber son who thought it was hilarious. The hand hold grip is a fun way to grasp the mug. It seemed too difficult for me to grab but I found alternate ways to grab it so it was fun for anyone to use. Great quality product.

What a fun gift for a rock climber! I loved the packaging it came in. The mug arrived in a sturdy, padded box that was colored in climbing-themed decorations which not only ensured it's safe delivery, but filled me with excitement upon unboxing. It's clear that the makers truly cared about delivering a high-quality product.
The mug itself is large which is perfect for me and my morning caffeine needs. Obviously the handle is the rock star of this product. The climbing hold adds a playful element to the mug. You can't help but smile when you drink from it.

This is a wonderful mug! The hold feels real and is quite secure. The packaging was super cute too! I was also happy to find this was a small family business. This would be a really fun gift!
