5 stars could never be enough for such a flawless masterpiece! It's like she speaks all the words my heartache and soul fall short in finding. In one of the poems she writes "I will walk through it with you; here, take my hand." And that is exactly what it feels like reading this book through and through. The validation, hope and comfort this book brings left me absolutely speechless. The emotions poured into each poem page after page is magnificent! Do yourself a favor and order the hardcover.

Stefanie Briar has truly outdone herself with Iron & Velvet. The first half is so gut-wrenchingly relatable"¦ it nearly moved me to tears. And then the second half heals all the wounds. You can tell that, not only is Stefanie speaking to the reader, she's speaking to herself. It's such a well-rounded, beautiful book. She NEVER disappoints!

I can't even tell you how much I loved this. I had seen several excerpts on TikTok and fell in love with her writing style- not to mention how much it resonated with me. The first half is the iron, the heartbreak and all those overwhelming thoughts and feelings we all know too well. But the second half is healing, self love, picking up and finding the courage to begin again. I couldn't put it down and it actually helped me so much. There's so much to think about when reading and it gives you such a great perspective.

I could read this all day and ball my eyes out. The poetry is beautiful
