I had tried my friends name brand hoop and wanted one at a better price. So I bought this one. It was not nearly as nice as the one my friend had. I did keep it and have used it consistently. I did lose a few inches but it leaves pressure point marks where it touches.

I bought this a few months ago and I wasn't too thrilled at the beginning, the ball kept getting stuck and I felt it either had too much length on the cord or too little sand, I opted to tie knots on the line to shorten the length of the ball and it took a few tries to get the hang of it, you have to find your rhythm swinging your hips like a hula hoop and after that, it was just a matter of how much I could do. I was not very good and unable to keep it going for more than 2-3 minutes so I've increased little by little and so far I've been able to keep the ball spinning for 15 minutes. It is fun to challenge yourself to last more than the last time and you feel your legs, arms, and butt working out with this thing. It does seem like the wheels inside wear off the inside of the hoop with every spin so we'll see how long it last.

This product works really well so far. I've used it maybe 4-5 times, and while the noise level is a bit higher than I'd like, it was easy to install and easy to use. I have a lot of fun using this, and I'm sure that it works just as well as the expensive version. If you hoop outside, bounce around some while using this, it's a great way to get in some cardio while also tightening your core muscles. I plan to do this 3-4 times a week for 30 minutes a day, and this has not let me down so far! I can feel it working as my abs flex. Remember to keep your core tight while you're exercising! (Also, I read a review that said that the ball had nothing filled in it, but that is absolutely not the case with the one I got.)

Love it! I almost returned it because it kept getting stuck on a link. Obviously user error!! Lol I don't know how to hula hoop so I struggled but finally got the hang of it and now I love it!!! I'm already down a link after only "2 days" of use! Mind you I'm not a pro yet so it's been a lot of stop and start but even just continuing to try over and over I can feel it working! I can feel it in my arms from holding my arms up out of the way, my legs, and my belly almost all of my problem areas except for my chin but I'd say that's a win! Plus it's a lot of fun, I can't stop laughing. My advice wear tennis shoes for stability so you don't go sliding around and better grip for thrusting your hips, try a rock side to side or side to front motion whichever works best for you, wear your links fairly comfortably snug so it can remain even while the weight rotates around you, also while you're first learning it may help to tie a knot and shorten the string and once you get the hang of you can loosen it again, lastly turn on your music don't give up and just have fun!
