I had some inexpensive terry-cloth bibs in the past. This is much better..The velcro closure is much more secure. Terry-cloth just absorbed stains. The 65% polyester and 35% cotton fabric does not. The lining is 100 DuPont Supplex nylon. The small pouch at the bottom can be used to keep some silverware or napkins, which I like. The bib is longer than my old ones, which I also like. I'm undecided about the closure being off-center. It could make it easier to put the bib on someone else, but not so easy to put it on myself. Highly recommended.
Don't buy so I can have them all, lol.

The hook and loop closure is easy for my 91 year old dad to fasten on the side instead of behind his neck. The strip of velcro is long and strong. His clothes have been wonderfully protected and nothing has soaked through. I always hang them after washing to dry. I have had a few for over a year now and they have been holding up well.
