This tray makes it so easy to lay out a design for a bracelet or necklace before I string them. My dogs or young daughter are also constantly bumping into or knocking over my beading supplies by accident. The lid doesn't lock on, of course, so if things really go south there's no saving my work. But if I have to stop in the middle of what I'm doing and someone bumps against my tray or picks it up to move it, the beads stay put pretty well. It also helps to keep pesky dog hairs out of the beads I'm working with. ;)
