This is not being used as a full-time ladder because we have some hearty folks come on our boat and this ladder is not rigid so it kind of swings around a little bit. It works really well for the kids to get in and out but some of us bigger adults are not easily able to climb this ladder. We have it draped over the side of our pontoons and your toes kind of get stuck in between the step and the boat, so it's used as kind of a backup ladder when we have a full boat and the kids can use one side with the adults climbing up the stainless steel ladder. So far this is working really good though, and it's a cheap solution to have additional entry points into your boat.

I got this for the flexibility of using on the sides or even the front of my 24' skiff. There are many times on the flats where a ladder is needed, especially for older passengers who may not be able to take that giant first step on most fixed ladders. It is very light, and after testing it, it does hold the rated weight. I was concerned with the rungs, as they are not that large in diameter, but they are strong and slip resistant. The only issue I had was the diameter of the rungs - they are a bit small and uncomfortable for bare feet.
