Nice starter kit.

This is a beginner bonsai set, comes with 5 different seed packs , containers for germination, soil pucks (hydrates and expands to fill containers), oversized soil labels, and a pair of pruning shears.
Seed varieties included are Japanese Black Pine, Flame Tree, Sophora Japonica, Wisteria Tree, & Jacaranda.
You'll need to rehydrate the starter soil pucks and fill the soft containers, the seeds will be soaked for just under a day and then planted for germination. The Japanese pine and the Sophora germinated the quickest for me (around 3 weeks), and the longest was the flame tree which took nearly 6 weeks.
I had poor germination rates for the Jacaranda and contacted the seller and they were great with sending me replacement seeds without charge.
Once the trees have reached around three inches in height you'll need to separate them from the starter soil and transfer them to a pot with bonsai soil mix to facilitate their advancement to a bonsai (there are plenty of starter soil mixes on Amazon).

After doing extra research on each of the tree seeds provided in the kit, I prepared the seeds accordingly... however I was still only able to get three of the five seed types to sprout. Saphora Japonica, Flame, and Jacaranda are sprouting and growing well... The other two have done nothing.
I will try again with the other two doing another soak in water as well as cold stratification, but I am pleased so far with the other three. I have multiples of each to work with and look forward to seeing them grow.

This is a really neat bonsai growing kit and I've had so much fun watching them grow! The reason for not giving 5 stars is because two of the five bonsai seeds never germinated, so I'm a little bummed. Still a great product and worth it for the price!
