I purchased the globe to identify locations in the news, had to purchase a magnifying glass to assist in reading the small type, the globe is readerable, just hate the fact that the globe don't swirling around in all directions, you have to rise the globe up to read or locate information on the bottom. Love the night light affect with the constellation and zodiac signs
