I bought this for my front yard. I am trying to rehabilitate my heavy clay soil, but it's very hard to aerate it because it is so dense. This has helped a lot. It punches holes into the ground to help break up the soil and it allows me to plant in the holes as well. Apparently daikoin radishes are good for the soil and help to break up the clay, too. To be perfectly honest, I was a little afraid that the clay would be too much for it and warp the tines, but it still looks as good as new after a month of use. It even comes with a spare set of tines just in case. The handles have rubberized grippy things around them to make it easier on your hands.
