I was a little irritated that i appeared to purchase during a window between a bunch of perfect reviews and a bunch of 1 star reviews. i totally assumed this meant i'd been scammed- namely because my husband seemed to be having a hard time with the menu system.
not true. the system is legit. it really does work- truly perfectly, with every game that you've ever imagined.
the easiest way to navigate is to go to "class" and pick which system you want to browse the games of. select and go.
all of the complaints revolve around not being able to save (you totally can, it's not even hard- someone else wrote a review that explained how) and "not being able to "˜go back'". you can- you just have to press "start" and "select" at the same time.
it's honestly flawless. don't listen to the bad reviews- they just haven't figured out how to do what they're trying to do.

When I received my gamestick i was having major issues with start up. I tried all HDMI ports and none was turning the system on. I checked connection and plug, blue light was on. I had only one remote turned on and connected. I realized you need either both remotes connected and turned on with batteries or one is the main source to be able to start up. Once I connected 2nd remote, the system started on it's own.

If you just want something to pass the time with some old school games this is it.
If you are trying to compare this to a ln Xbox or ps3 or Nintendo wii don't.
For the basic price it's done basic games, arcade games you get up with.
Remote is sluggish in response.
For the price to bring back some old school games go for it. Don't expect arcade quality and responsiveness.
I bought two for the kids room.
