First off this thing has taken some abuse and it still looks brand new. It's solid and we don't have any issues with it sliding around. The beam has a soft fabric covering and slight padding underneath. The design and colors are a nice feature and the kiddo loves it. You can adjust the hight of this to several different positions, we currently keep it at the lowest but can raise it as the kids get older so this will be something that they can grow with which is great. This has become a permanent item in the playroom and my daughter plays with it every day, has helped her with her balance and it's a great way to use up some of her bottomless energy.

I received my first balance beam with a few tears in the covering, however, was sent a replacement immediately with no trouble on sellers end. Have received new beam and granddaughter loves it. She uses it both flat and on the second level legs.

I was looking for a way to get my kids into gymnastics and generally improve their balance. This balance beam has quickly become a favorite activity in our household, not just for my kids but for me too. It was super simple to set up, as it comes pre-assembled. You just need to place the locks to the desired height and put the plastic covers onto the leg ends.

My children have been learning to balance themselves for the past week, and there has already been significant improvement. I place the beam in our carpeted living room when it is being used, and it gives them plenty of open space and also use an extra foam pad. The nylon cover looks great and provides a non-slip surface, as well as some padding. I also like that the legs can be tucked away for storage, and it becomes just an 8-foot beam.

I love how light yet rugged this beam is. It weighs just around 40 pounds, so it is easy for me to pick up and put away in the garage when not in use. However, it has a weight limit of 300 pounds and feels really sturdy and solid when being used. I weigh only half the limit, but I have noticed that when I use the beam rigorously, it can move around quite a bit. As my kids get more confident on it, I can see this becoming more of an issue in the future. It could be because it is such a light beam, and I think eventually just placing some weighted bags on the legs could help prevent movement and could be an easy solution.

Overall, I am very impressed with this balance beam. It is a great value for the price, and it has been a lot of fun for my family. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a way to improve their balance or get their kids into gymnastics.

This 8ft adjustable balance beam is stable to use and has enough padding. The height can be adjusted and folds up for easy storage. It has stood up to repeated use without issue.
