Fun to make up your own rules, and great for kids to practice math skills

This is well constructed out of wood, and built to last. No batteries needed, just paper and pencil to calculate your points.
The instructions mentioned red balls (we received orange), neutral balls, and either blue or green (we received green). We did receive one extra orange ball, so 13 balls in total rather than 12.
The game has eight colored duvets where a ball could land, as well as four corner pockets. Each spot has its own point value, and the color of the ball determines whether you add them, double hthem, or subtract them from your point total.
One line of the instructions could have been better worded for clarity and ease of understanding. It says:
"If a player gets points for all six balls in one spin, they have the right to replace the balls in the centre and spin again."
When I first read this, I interpreted that as you could throw that score out and try for a better one. On second reading, I think they meant the player gets to take another turn (keeping the points from both spins.) I don't know, it wasn't clear. However, my kids have fun making up their own rules to games and changing the rules often, so we just figure out what they enjoy and go with that.
You will need to assemble the top, but it is easy even for a child to do. It has two wooden pieces that screw together by hand. The top is easy to spin, and the game works as intended.

Going to have about 100 people coming to my mother's 100 year birthday party and needed some items around to keep the party going or give groups something to do while other things are going on. Have this, Bingo, cards, and a few items ready for her party, will know more after get a chance to play, for now just inspected and was just like pictures... Something different as I have never seen it before, might be a hit, might not...

This is a good game and I would recommend it. I like the fact that it does not require batteries. I like the fact that it's made of wood (and is nicely finished). And I like the fact that the game came with a few extra colored balls (though it came with no extra neutral ones). It's a fun game to play with friends or family and I'm glad that I got it.
All that said, I find that the balls are a bit lightweight -- or the sides of the playing circle are a bit low. The reason that I say this is that with some vigorous top spins, it's easy for a ball or two to ricochet off the board and go flying. Perhaps the rules could be modified to provide a penalty for someone who spins the top that fast, but slightly heavier balls would probably solve that problem.
It's a good game, and it's well made, but it could be a bit better.

Anyone can play this game, all you have to do is spin, and some math.
You can make up your own rules as well, add to the intrigue.
The board is of nice quality wood, with a smooth finish. The balls are plastic, and a bit under weighted. The spinner is solid (also wood) and has a good feel to it when spinning.
Cleanup is easy if you keep the box, could be good to pack for a roadtrip or outing.
