This is a no frills toy, capable of withstanding the abuse dished out by your average toddler. 😀
The wood has a nice clear finish, and each of the white metal note "bars' has a clean, even, powder coat finish. The metal pins holding each of the each of the notes has a clean finish, and is solidly attached to the base. The two wooden hammers store neatly in the base, a nice touch.
- Take note of the enclosed card and download the free pdf of songs to play.
If I was making this toy, I may have spaced each note bar a little farther away from its neighbor, resulting in making the toy a little longer. It's not anything that detracts from enjoying this instrument.
This xylophone is one of those high quality toys you will store away in a closet for a future user - or happily donate today to another lucky toddler.

I have a nine year old son, so you might think that this might be too young for him, but you'd be incorrect. They play the xylophone in his school so he really wanted something to play at home so I grabbed this because it looked like just what he's looking for. It really was. Not only is the glockenspiel nicely made with two little drumstick things, but it also comes with links to get instructions on more songs to play, and it tells you what key each of the things are in. THe sound is really good, and the quality of the product is really excellent. They give tons of support on the website, and overall, just a really good purchase, whether your child is in preschool, or if he's in 4th grade! It works for any kid with an interest!
