Works well

I can't speak to how it effects the actual tattooing, or if it changes the ink or healing. It seems for me personally to not change the healing or quality of the tattoo. It definitely delivers on what it's supposed to do! I put it on, covered it for an hour and I did not feel a thing. Not a single thing! I would absolutely recommend for anyone who has a low pain tolerance or if you're getting ink in a very sensitive/high pain area.
This is gold!

I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this cream and to those that said it doesn't work, I think maybe you're not using it correctly. I went for my first Brazilian wax the other day and I was so nervous about the pain which is why I purchased this cream. I put a thick layer on and covered it with a piece of plastic wrap. I only had it on for an hour so I was a bit nervous because it says to leave it on for a couple of hours. Anyway, let me tell you I was numb and didn't feel an ounce of pain. My daughter also used this on her ribs because she was getting a tattoo. My girl is the WORST when it comes to pain and she as well didn't feel pain. I highly recommend this to anyone that hates pain.
Literally why not?

My son made fun of my for buying this but literally why not? I have a lot of tattoos but I was doing a second appointment on a cover up and the first time around my wrist hurt more than my ribs or any other tattoo I have. So I decided to try. I rubbed this on my arm and wrapped it with plastic wrap 1.5 hours before my appointment. When I say I didn't feel anything for the first 3 hours of my session, I mean it. This really really works!
Worked Really Well!

This is the first and only tattoo numbing cream I've ever bought. It worked amazingly for my knee piece. I used about half the bottle. I slathered it on pretty thick and generously, then wrapped my leg in plastic wrap right before I left for my tattoo. It took about an hour for my knee to numb (my artist is about an hour away) and it stayed numb throughout the line work (about 1.5 hrs or so). I didn't put enough on the top of my knee, but everywhere else was numb and I was able to sit. This cream did not mess with the ink application at all and my artist was impressed with this cream as well!
Definitely be super generous with this and mindful of how long it will take you to numb, as well as the working time of line work/the tattoo.

It doesn’t last 6 hours in the way you think. But I’d still recommend!!!

So I was scared sick of the pain of my most recent tattoo because it's in a very sensitive spot on my wrist. This is the first time I've ever used numbing cream and I was getting scared with google telling me that numbing cream could make your skin spongy or mess up the color of the tattoo. My tattoo artist claimed my skin didn't feel any different than usual.
I put A LOT on. I mean a LOT. Like it was solid white with no skin visible. I let it sit for 2 hours with plastic wrap then waited about 30 minutes to see my artist. At first, I couldn't feel a thing. Literally nothing. Not even pressure. It was fantastic! And if you're just getting lettering or something that doesn't involve shading, I'd say you probably would have a painless tattoo. But mine had a lot of color and a lot of shading so after 5 passes, I started to feel it. At some point it felt like I didn't have any cream at all.
But here's the thing. It got me through about 45 minutes of painless tattooing and that's enough for me. The tattoo lasted over an hour so I was thankful for what I got. The part of the advertisement that says it lasts 6 hours is true/not true. I've been done with my tattoo for a few hours now and this is the first time my skin has not felt like it was on fire and swollen. It's really helping with the pain and is still very numb if I were to touch it. But if you're getting shading done, you'll feel pain during. But at the very start of the tattoo? Literally nothing. Every new patch of skin he started to work on didn't feel a thing until he was going in with white ink or several passes for shading.
