No matter how careful you are, coffee grounds get staticky and go everywhere. Or, you're so in need of that first cup of coffee, you forget to put the hopper back before turning on the grinder (admit it, you've done it too!).
This makes keeping the counter clean that much easier. It feels like decent quality and durable. Will probably last longer than the grinder. And it looks good to boot. If you have a grinder that this will fit under, it's a good addition to your coffee bar.

Love the grinder, but hate the mess "“ so glad to have found this catch tray!
Not only does it function exactly as intended, by catching all of those stray static grounds, it looks fantastic too. Loving the pop of my white Encore on the not too glossy, but not too matte black of the tray.
It's stamped on the bottom that it's made of 100% melamine, but it's not like the old timey plasticky melamine that you might remember from grandma's house....it feels real solid & sturdy like ceramic.

Oh my Lord I had dreamed that something like this existed and I can't believe I found it! I was so tired of coffee grounds being all over the kitchen (more so when my hubs was the coffee grinder but more on that later..). This tray is fantastic! Don't hesitate to purchase it if you are a neat-freak like me and want to contain those pesty coffee grounds. The counter is finally clean! I know, first-world problems but it's a big thing to me!
