I have not set this up to see if anyone moves in yet, since we have been in the middle of a sweltering summer, but just inspecting upon opening, its a very well made bird house. No flimsy wood here. I love the burnt look to it, but I'm definitely going to give it a nice safe clear coat before setting it up this spring. One issue that I have is it might be a little hard to clean. I think I'm just going to go in with an air can and spray what I can out and then give it a clean with a small rag and a chopstick or something. Overall it does not look like something that will break down, with the added clear coat of course. Hopefully I have a family move in this spring!
