Great for rice

I got this to store my grains and I really like that you can have multiple types. I keep my rice and lentils in there but it was not great for dispensing my dry beans. I really like it but it is kind of bulky and takes up precious counter space.

PROS:
"¢This rice dispenser is a great space saver for me in the sense that I can put all my different bags of rice into one single storage container instead of having multiple bags of rice strewn throughout my cabinets. On the other hand, it's very bulky and it takes up a good deal of space on my countertop.
"¢I like that I can remove the dividers inside this rice dispenser. This lets me turn two compartment spaces into one large compartment. Since I often store more white rice than wild rice, this comes in handy very much so.
"¢I like how easy it is for me to restock it. The top is easy to remove and the opening is very wide making the process of refilling it almost always a mess free one.
"¢Aside from storing my rice in this, I also store my dry beans and cereal. Of course this depends on the month and what staples I have purchased but it's great that it has many uses for me.

"¢It's plastic and it DOES melt. I used my crockpot one night and had the crockpot sitting too close to this dispenser. As a result, the dispenser melted a little bit which was very upsetting for me. I get that this is plastic and all but I expected it to be heat resistant at least considering it was obviously going to be used in a hot kitchen environment around hot appliances.
"¢The egg storage space at the bottom is useless for me. I live in California USA. It gets hot in my state so I don't store eggs outside of my refrigerator. I tried to remove the egg storage section of this dispenser but I couldn't. The reason I don't like this is because it adds unnecessary bulkiness to the dispenser that takes up counter space.

I had to put all my dry goods in other bins due to mice, and this is a great solution for rice and smaller pasta (orzo) You just have to make sure if you are adjusting the inside dividers, that you put them back in correctly. If they are not right in line then your grains will get mixed in with other sections.
