Requires 3/4 HP Pump, and dedicated 30 AMP circuit (GFCI)
Mad Max✓ Verified Purchase•September 9, 2023
This has a number of requirements:
This is 110v, but requires a 30 AMP circuit (presumably a dedicated circuit). The circuit must be GFCI (technically I suppose you could use a non-GFCI circuit, none of the older pools have this, but it wouldn't be code). This is hard wired, no plug.
Also it must be a 3/4 HP pump, it will not work on a pump smaller than that. That's probably normal for a hot tub with jets, but that's a larger pump than most 2,000 gallon pools would have (normal would usually be 1/4 HP).
So double check all your specs prior to ordering. My guess is that most situations would require an electrician or an update to your house electricity to install this. As a drop-in replacement, however, this seems like a great option.
