This vacuum does the job. We have an Akita, which sheds a thick coat twice a year, plus needs to be brushed. She didn't like our regular vacuum which we used on our deck to catch the huge amounts of hair flying off her when we brushed her. Our son told us about pet vacuums and so we bought this one. It is AWESOME!!! What a GIFT!!! We can actually brush her inside. It comes with several brushes, one that is for under coat, which we have to be a bit careful because it goes deep and another one that gets all the surface coat. She is fine with it and stands still for the entire time. She doesn't like us doing her hind end though, so we have to have her lay down for that. It has a low, medium and high and all three are not that loud at all. I did low and it still does the job. Whether your pet is small or large, this is a great unit. I highly recommend it.

I can't begin to describe how much I love this thing! I have always groomed my dog (I'm no professional lol) on my own to save money, I bought a 300 dollar shaver for him and it works very well but this is so much better! This product works amazing and you don't have to worry about changing into clothes that are dirty or old to cut their hair because nothing gets on you! So convenient and I love it so much! I had to empty it out twice because my dog had very long hair, it really put it to the test and it did very well. I used the 6mm guard and used the paw pad trimmer as well as the nail grinder. Love love love. I'm honestly shocked at the price because I paid 300 for a shaver and guards (that's all), but this comes with more attachments and is so much cleaner and easier to use.
