The media could not be loaded. Looks nice, works as expected. 8inx11in paper laying in the drawer 11in wide, is the pic with yellow folders. No room for paper to stick out of file folder. Appears legal folders would hang front to back in the drawer.

This was really well packaged for shipping; although, "some assembly required" is an understatement. The box it cones in is 7.5in thick, for reference. I did not make the sheet steel, or paint it, or apply the drawer tracks... almost everything else is up to you to put together. Its not hard, but some steps are really poorly explained. You'll need a Phillips head (+) screwdriver, a little extra strength to drive the first 3-4 full turns of each screw, and patience.

Upon opening the box, I was concerned the corners were dented... turns out the metal "corners" I saw were only used for protection during shipping. You'll also encounter 2x L-shaped pieces (shown in my pic w 4 "corners") that are used only for shipping. Those L-shaped pieces protect the front base corners where the toe / kickplate slides in, and then little triangle feet screw on.

The worst step to under stand is installing the top of the cabinet... my pics show the inside with up-arrows. The locking crossbar is attached to the top piece and has springloaded pins. Your job, after the top is set in place, is to figure out a way to retract each (individually) about 1/4 in, so you can move the middle vertical rail (ironically without an arrow on it) up about a 1/4in, then release the springed pin into a small oval hole at the top of the pole you moved up. Have patience, take a break, its nerve racking, but you can do it! Good news, theres two pins on the left, and two pins on the right... you only have to fiddle with the front pin on each side... leave the others untouched.
It works as advertised. There is a mechanism that prevents more than one drawer at a time to be opened.

After spending more time than it should have to put together, it ended up being a nice filing cabinet. Description stated fully assembled.

Assembly was super easy. Well made and sturdy. Love it.

I chose this specific 4-drawer file cabinet primarily because it was less expensive than other 4-drawer ones and it didn't have a shipping charge of $60 or more, which almost all the others appeared to have.

I took off 1 star mainly because it was a bit tedious to put together. Yes, it has to be assembled, and from scratch. Nothing about it comes pre-assembled, and there is one part of the installation that I admit totally baffled me. The instructions that come with this are graphics only; that is, there is no written instructions, only pictures labeled, "First step," "Second step," etc. One of the steps was very difficult to figure out due to the way it contained several graphic illustrations that were very unclear. It was the step involving the installation of the top of the cabinet and said 8 screws were to be used. I used only 6 and could not for the life of me figure out where the other two went.

After finishing it, I noticed there were 2 pairs of metal pieces left"”they were unused. I've posted the pics here. I'm assuming these were somehow support mechanisms that kept the disassembled cabinet parts snug and fit inside its shipping box. If anyone can chime in here and either confirm this or tell me where they are supposed to go, please do so. I'm assuming they're packing & stability components, because the finished product with all its drawers installed appears to be just fine.

Great cabinet for the price. Living in an old house where floors are uneven, it's nice to have
Locking wheels and drawers. I have a different
Cabinet and the bottom drawer opens due to slanted floors and the top one locks. Allow these drawers lock with one single key turn. Plenty of space.
