Great! My kid loves it!

This was fairly easy to put together and my kid loves it. The remote works well and the Bluetooth function is awesome. My only complaint is that we just can't get the seatbelt straps to stay in place.
Great little car

Got it for my two year old for Christmas and he loves it. He doesn't quite understand yet but that's why I wanted a remote. It's been cold and kids sick so we've only used it indoors so far. It works pretty well but it is a little hard to steer the steering wheel itself. The remote has a park button so it won't move. There's also forward, backwards, left, right, and three changes in speed on the remote. The headlights turn on with a switch same for the reverse and forward on the car itself. The buttons on the radio and for Bluetooth are cheaply made and already starting to show wear after a couple weeks of use. The battery charger is under the seat so you don't have to move anything to charge it which is nice. We haven't had to charge it yet but other have been difficult bc of placement and have been broken. Overall very nice and happy with my purchase. Just wish it had sturdier buttons on the radio and it would be cool to be able to the same controls on the remote as the car.
Excellent car at a great price

I was worried the 12v battery wouldn't last long enough. Well the recommended age is 3 I am using it for my 14 month old because she loves riding around and just being outside. I took it uphill (gently sloping) and it did great. I took it up a really steep hill that takes about 5 minutes to walk up (5 minutes of constant uphill maybe 10) and it also did okay coming down hill. I had to use the lowest speed setting and pat pat it so it didn't go flying down the hill because the hill is that steep. I did figure 8s around the yard just trying to run the battery dead and it wouldn't die. We walked/drove well over a mile just doing a test run. The battery in the remotes are still going and they're only cheap dt batteries so I expected them to be dead after the first hour but we've used the car for a total of 4 hours so far on two different charges. It goes through holes, mud, over rocks, across grass. For the price I'm paid it's been great as long as the battery doesn't stop working. It's March and to make this car perfect I would love for the battery to last until the fall and then I would be okay replacing it. My daughter absolutely loves it and so do I. It might need a better battery if it's for an older kid because they have so much energy but for her it's perfect (straps are a little too big but that's expected). I also attached the baby mirror for a car to the back so I could see behind us while walking with ease. It is very loud when indoors (obviously) and pretty loud outside on gravel because the tires are plastic. However as long as you're observant when outside and doesn't have a migraine when inside it's perfectly okay. 10/10 definitely recommend!
Works good but remote kills batteries way too fast...

My son is 2 years old and loves it! We use the remote with it because of his age. We like that it has a remote, however, that remote sucked dead three sets of batteries in two days but we didn't use it that much as we didn't even get thru the first charge on the car itself before having to replace the control batteries. The other thing with the remote I do not like is there's no off and on switch. And a lot of the times it starts blinking out of nowhere and was making me have to turn the car off and back on so it would reconnect and work again. Wouldn't be such a big deal if my son knew how to drive it himself but when I was far away from home and it did that I could not figure out why it kept doing that and would just stop working until I turned the car off and back on, then it blinks a while and finally works again. I bought brand new Duracell AAA batteries and according to the control, it still only showed 2/3 bars for battery life power. Which I didn't understand because it would never show fully charged whether new or not. They just get sucked down in a day like 30-45 mins of use. The Bluetooth works nice but the volume is not very loud at all unfortunately so I didn't care for that as much either. Putting it together was a pain in the butt haha the getting started is the hard part but once you're past the initial couple steps it was pretty smooth sailing. Took roughly 50 minutes to get it out together between me and my man. Other than that's it can be adjusted to a faster setting under where the plug for charging the car is, and it can be in a higher speed or switch it back for lower speeds. The low speed I can comfortably walk next to him without going too fast for me or letting him get too far ahead and the faster speed let's him get a decent distance ahead of me. He just loves riding around. If the remote issues were fixed honestly my review would be a much happier one.
However, all that being said, he loves the car because he just gets to enjoy chilling and riding. But from the parents perspective and knowing what it should and shouldn't be like, I would be much happier with it overall if those quirks were worked out but am still glad I got it especially for the price, which is not bad at all considering what else is on the market with remotes and how they're $300+. So I am happy for that that he got a nice gift without breaking the bank too badly and that he's happy with it. If he's happy I'm happy !

Great buy, especially with some mods

Pros:
-good price
-remote control is fantastic for driving toddlers around, 3 speeds to choose from (though the fastest is walking speed, so that's pretty much the only practical one)
-Bluetooth stereo actually works, though max volume is kind of quiet when the car is going top speed
-surprisingly good ground clearance for going off-road
-fairly simple to build
-displays battery voltage on the stereo, which is handy for gauging how much juice you have left
Cons:
-no suspension (understandable for the price), so your child better be prepared for bumps
-headlights don't really illuminate much in the dark, more for show
-motors are loud at high speed, but I suspect a lot of that is the gearing
-not the tightest turn radius
-standard 12v lead-acid battery has like a 30 minute range, less if going uphill or off-road
-gas pedal overrides the remote control, so if you're driving your child and they decide to floor it and steer in the direction they want, all you can do is chase after them
Where it really shines is if you have cordless tool batteries. There's adapter kits on Amazon for like $35 for 18/20v batteries that come with a transformer, low voltage cutoff (so you don't kill your pricy Milwaukee or Dewalt batteries), and a potentiometer and voltage display so you can adjust how much juice you want to give it. Fairly simple to install if you're remotely familiar with basic electrical stuff. Dial it down to 12V for the stock experience but a vastly longer range, or crank it up to the full 18-20V for max speed (for a 25lb child, around a slow jog). But at max voltage, there will be more wear on the plastic gears and the (small) potential to fry your control board, though on ours everything works fine at 19V, including the remote. Couple that with a cheap toggle switch if you still want to use the onboard 12V battery, an adapter for the battery brand of your choice and a few big batteries, and you have a car that can run for a couple hours while carrying water bottles and jackets and whatever other junk you can shove in beside your kiddo. Wish I had one of these things when I was small!
