Great for in home practice!

Got this one for my wife who plays hockey. This along with the Swedish wooden "pucks" (they're really just balls), it makes for an easy way to practice indoors or on any flat surface really.
Well constructed, and easy to pack up and store.

The media could not be loaded. Here is unboxing of Ace Hockey Stickhandling Trainer Snake 7, and I can confidently say it looks and feels solid. One of the first things that stood out to me was its sturdy and stable build. Unlike some competitors, it doesn't wobble or feel flimsy during use, which greatly enhances the training experience.
What I love most about the Snake 7 is its ingenious design - adjusting the length and angles is a breeze with just a simple twist of a peg. This level of customization allows me to tailor my training sessions to my specific needs, whether I'm working on my backhand, dekes, or plain stickhandling.
Furthermore, it's not super lightweight like some of its counterparts, which actually works to its advantage. The added weight ensures that it stays firmly in place while practicing, which is essential for effective stickhandling drills.
In summary, the Ace Hockey Stickhandling Trainer Snake 7 is a top-notch addition to any hockey training regimen. Its stability, ease of adjustment, and durability set it apart from the competition. If you're serious about improving your stickhandling skills, this trainer is a must-have. Highly recommended!

This is a great little helper for both young & old to improve stickhandling
--With 4 hinge points, it can be stretched out into a straight line, semi-circle or other design
--Stretched out in a semi-circle or other design & placed on a smooth surface, this works great to practice stickhandling, & especially working on stickhandling without looking at the puck
--Used on a hockey rink, this is great to work on handling the puck & making moves with the puck while skating into the zone
--Stretched out in a straight line, this is also great to work on saucer passes. I got 2 of these, & we will often set up both stretched out straight...the 1st one several feet from the player, & the other several feet further away from the 1st. The player makes a saucer pass over the 1st one & tries to make it land right at the 2nd, & his goal is both to land the pass at the 2nd one & also get it through the opening. This is a great way to work on passing accuracy.
--Seems a little bit pricey but, ultimately, this is very durable & should last a good long while, so I don't mind the price a bit
Great product & highly recommended!

I have four boys that play hockey and are always looking for ways to practice at home. My oldest son had made a trainer just like this from wood. It has worked well, but there were a few details he would have done differently if he made another one.
Instead, we just ordered this trainer from Ace Hockey. It solves some of the issues of my son's but not all. The working height for the puck to slide under is about right, and the overall length is just long enough to make various patterns to practice different drills.
It is easy to change positions and is fairly portable. Unfortunately, the lightest touch from your stick will move it around and change its configuration. One complaint on our homemade version is it slides around too much, but on that one, we can at least tighten the knobs at the joints to stiffen it so the pattern isn't lost. The whole unit simply moves if you hit it.
This trainer from Ace Hockey slides and distorts. I may try to apply something to the feet for better grip which could minimize both issues but haven't found anything effective yet.
This unit is made from nice materials and manufactured well. The better you get, the less headaches you'll have with it.

While true that I received this product at a promotional price, it is not "free" and you have to select which items you are sent under the Vine Program. Because of this, I only select items that I would consider purchasing at a retail store, and therefore I feel it is my obligation to provide an honest review of the product.
This stickhandling tool is rather well built and seems to be pretty durable. It will do what it is designed to do well, and seems like it will take a beating from inadvertant smacks with the stick without much issue. For me personally, I think I would prefer that it have a little more weight to it so that doesn't lose whatever shape you configure it to when you actually do hit it instead of the puck or ball or whatever you are training with, but that is personal preference and I imagine some people would prefer it lighter. Then again, once I use it enough to where my stickhandling is that much better, I will likely be making LESS contact with the training aid, so maybe that is the point...
Anyways, overall I think it is a good solid product that is well made and you can't do much better for the price point
