Sturdy Lord of the Rings Type Rocks Glass

This is a sturdy glass. It's got a really nice weight to it. Much better than I was expecting for an item labeled "Funny Engraved Glass.".
It fits well in the hand but it's a lot taller than any of the other rocks glasses I own, even though it's the same standard diameter as my other ones, which threw me off a bit. Probably because it's an 11oz glass. The upshot is it will double as a beer taster glass.
The text on the top is very light and hard to see. I wish it was a little easier to see because most of the time you aren't going to fill the glass enough to actually see the text which is a shame. The text itself is complete gibberish. It's not elvish though it looks like it.
I did run it through the dishwasher and everything looks great on it still. We will see how it goes after a few months of use, but so far so good.
I thought that this glass was a bit expensive for what it is. It does the job well and it's fun, but I think it costs a bit much.

The title labels it as a "funny" gift but it's certainly more of a "fun" gift. I love LotR and whiskey so...
Glass is a standard type. No obvious flaws or weirdness to it. It was packaged very nicely & safely as to not break in transit.
The ring is printed on there so it will eventually rub off but it didnt during the first dishwasher cycle so we're good!

Bought this as a gift for my daughter who loves LOTR.
Came well wrapped in bubble wrap in a small box. Seems well made for a drinking glass, though my daughter will probably use it more as a decorative item.
Nice thick glass with a thick bottom.
I did notice the text looked a little more squished in person than on the cup, but it wasn't horrible, so still pleased.
The text is not the "One Ring" quote. I didn't even notice until after reading some of the reviews AFTER I had already ordered it. However, I will keep the 5 stars because its well made, it never said it was the LOTR merchandise (I just saw the writing and assumed), and I cant read Elvish or this writing either so it doesn't really matter. I had to really look at the writing after I knew what I was looking for and could only pick out a couple words in English. So I still think it will be a great gift. Maybe not for a super nerd who will scrutinize the script & compare it to Elvish, but for a college student that doesn't have time to analyze a decorative glass, it will be perfect!

And I'm perfectly fine with that "“ I saw from other reviews that it does say something neat in English as well "“ which is just an added plus I can lead with when I gift this to my husband for our anniversary next year. I love that it has the mock "˜one ring' etching because his wedding ring is an engraved "˜one ring' so "“ it has a lot of meaningful significance to us. And I'm absolutely positive he will love it. It's well made, the glass is sturdy, the etching is very crisp, and the details are all visible, and even more so with some liquid in it. A nice glass for an even nicer man.

My husband is a huge fan of JRR Tolkien and thinks he was a great genius. So when I saw this, not even knowing what it said but figuring it was Elvish, I got it for him for his birthday. Which is today. But gave it to him yesterday, and he said it says "One Ring to Rule Them All" and then started talking about how it wasn't truly Elvish, but... Yeah, that's when I kinda konked out. But the point is, this is a Lord of the Rings themed item, and he really loves that he can read it. Because he's a huge nerd and learned how to write all the languages from Tolkien. Yup. I got me one of those. Anyway, if you've got yourself a big nerd that YOU love, this will make a great gift. Nice glass even if you can't read what it says.
