It comes with easy-to-follow instructions and yummy recipes that can be easily swapped out for other foods you have on hand.
The machine runs very quiet and fuctions properly. The fan is a great addition, because it circulates the air helping the food dry out uniformly.
I did notice when I first turned the unit on that it smelled very strong of "new appliance", but after a few hours that went away. The unit also had an odd clicking sound, but that also went away after a few hours of letting it run.
It does have a light, but you cannot see that light beyond the first shelf under it. My kitchen is so bright, I wasn't even sure it had one. And, even at night, it's very dim. Not that you even need the light, but just letting you know.
With this dehydrator, we are no longer throwing away fruit or veggies that are getting old. Now, I just slice them up and toss them in the dehydrator for a healthy yummy snack.
Overall, I am so pleased!

I love this product! The 8 trays, comes with one fruit leather tray, (I want to purchase more) and rubber mats for drying herbs, that I haven't used them yet. The quick start buttons are great, but also can adjust the temp and time, which I think is great. I did blueberries first time and made quite a mess, but cleaned up without to much problem.

Seems to be well designed and the controls were easy to set- after a few tries and the heat came up to 165 degrees pretty fast. The liner is made of some type of abs plastic and is not stainless steel- like my other dehydrators are- but the trays are stainless steel. I have done a 5-hr. run sterilizing Mesquite beans in preparation to grinding into flour for bread making, etc. These beans make a lightly sweet and gluten free flour that is baked with- the same as wheat flour in bread and biscuit recipes. This dehydrator heated up quickly and it only takes 1 hour at 160 degrees to sterilize anything- but I run the loads at 165 degrees for 4-5 hours just to make sure the beans are extremely dry to make flour. This dehydrator seems well- made and functions as expected. Great find!

This is the first machine like this I've had so I'm still trying to figure it out. There are so many options and so many different things you can make in it. I was surprised how heavy it is. The quality seems to be pretty good, and I like how many shelves it has to make more at once.

So my husband had a dehydrator that he has used for the past ten years. It came from one of the big outdoor stores and cost a fortune. When it was stolen he was inconsolable and wanted a replacement. I did not want to spend a fortune. I found this dehydrator and he reluctantly agreed to try it.
He loves this. I love that I did not have to pay ten times this for the outdoor store brand. He uses it to make deer, salmon, and moose jerky. He used it to make some salmon jerky and I loved it. Could not tell it was cooked in a cheaper machine taste just as great.
I love drinking dehydrated pineapple in my summer drinks and now I can make my own. Though the husband is not as impressed with that use of it. He loves all the racks and he is reading the book for new items to dehydrate. I love the price. Easy to clean works fantastic.
