Easy to use and clean

Prior to using this for the first time I'd watched a video of someone using a similar machine making a mess indoors and claiming difficulty in cleaning. I haven't used it indoors yet so I can't speak to webs of sugar flying about, but what was most striking to me was how easy I found it to clean. I'd intentionally made a small batch (only used 2/3 scoop) because we were on our way to see a movie, but I did take the time to rinse the bowl, plastic guard, and stainless spinner guard with hot water a few minutes after use and it was very easy to clean. The stainless piece gets very hot and so sugar on it didn't rinse away directly, but I agitated the sugar with a spoon and it loosened right up. I used hot water and a dab of dish soap to wipe down the black plastic base. The hot stainless guard took a bit of jiggling to break up the hardened sugar so I could remove it, but having seen it sits loosely on the base when it was cold I knew it was only being stubborn because of the sugar.
This machine was a big hit. The only knock I can think of is it is small enough it could take longer than desired to make many servings, but I suppose for a party you could get started on that in advance and put cotton candy in bags like they do at the fair. I happened to have a box of bread-bags I'd bought for a bread maker handy, but we didn't end up needing to use them.

This unit comes with everything you need to get started. Its portable size is perfect for any tabletop. It's easy to operate, but does take some practice to make good uniform cotton candy cones. It's really fun though and the kids just watch in amazement!
The inside of the machine does get very messy though. Especially after making about 10 cones of it. But on the plus side of that, it cleans up really easy with a hot wet rag. It wipes right off with ease. This is a machine that will get many uses here. The price is reasonable too.
