The only thing that sucked was the delivery time was too long. After reading a few other reviews I was concerned this wouldn't show up or be damaged in the process..
The instructions were easy to follow. The box included the tools to build the shelf, and also some hooks and some small picture clips with hearts on them, and some sticky tack. I recommended my daughter put sticky tack on the feet so she doesn't knock the shelf off her desk by accident.

If you're in a hurry, this isn't for you. It's shipped from overseas (China, maybe?), and it took a month from my order date to arrive. BUT- the seller was very responsive to my requests for updates, and when it arrived, it was worth the wait. I love it! You can order it in a variety if widths to suit your own desk size. It was easy to put together. The grid on the back nakes it easy to clip photos to- they even include some tiny clothespins for that purpose! It is metal, so you can use magnets on the side rails to hang tassels, small (fake) plants, earphones. I added one of those closet shoe shelves on the bottom to add storage options. I love this unit- I definitely recommend it, as long as you know ahead of time that it will take a month to arrive.
