I guess I didn't realize when ordering just how small these actually are; however, they are adorable. The flickering glow is really pretty and would make a great accent with other pieces or used alone. I plan to use them to accent with some other items I have for Christmas and save a few for backup just in case one goes bad. It does say that each votive should last 100 hours. There is no remote or timer - you just turn them on and off using the switch on the bottom. If they didn't have the flickering glow, I would have been disappointed; however, I will definitely use these. They are going to be really pretty with my Christmas decor.
