This baby sling isn't intended to be hands free, but it does help with heavier babies and toddlers when they want to be carried. It helps distribute their weight so it's all not on one arm, but you still need to support them. The sling seems to support baby's bottom well, and the clips feel like they will securely hold.

I will update in a bit when I put my daughter in the sling but we did try this out on our 8 year old and it actually held her up which shocked the heck out of me... Where was this when we went to Disney - save you shoulders and arms this is a must if you are still carrying around your kids. Having this sling would have saved my husband neck and back.

Takes a little bit to find a "sweet spot" where you and baby feel comfortable. If I have baby too low I can feel all of the weight on my shoulder so I have to have him up higher like mid waist. I like that I can have at least one free hand without my child slowly slipping off my hip while my other arm tirelessly tries to hold on.
This would actually be really good for grocery shopping, my child hates being in the seat for too long and wants to "push" the cart. I can see this being used for that, so I'm not trying to hold him up and push the cart at the same time.

This is a very basic carrier with incredibly lightweight fabric. The seams seem to be well sewn and they held my 1 year old without straining. This is a fairly straightforward carrier to use if you follow the photos included, but it would probably be helpful to have exact instructions on how to use for the less experienced. The straps were comfortable for my shoulders with a 28 pound baby, but I can see if being taxing and uncomfortable to hold for extended periods of time with a heavier baby. Probably great for younger babies.
