Great Alternative to Store Bought “Nut Milkâ€
Early Adopter✓ Verified Purchase•November 23, 2023
My first reaction to using the MOKKOM Nut Milk Maker was - it's fun! There is something satisfying about taking simple ingredients, placing them in the machine and not having to wait too long for a delicious alternative to expensive store bought plant milk.
Our son, an engineer, was impressed with the design and operation. (He's usually very critical of device designs.)
Pros: Relatively easy to clean, nice surface-touch buttons and simple LED interface to show settings, straightforward to use (set and forget).
Cons: Doesn't come with a strainer of any sort, not good at running back-to-back extractions (says to let cool 30min between uses), can't put in dishwasher (yea this is a little contradictory to first Pro, but while easy to wipe down it'd be even better if you could throw it in the dishwasher)
Some folks mentioned it doesn't make a large volume but I see this as a positive. All too often we purchase a large container at the store only to use it too slowly to insure it is fresh and having to pour some down the drain. With the MOKKOM you can make a small batch that will be consumed quickly while it is fresh.
The MOKKOM is a good value for the price.

Works fine

This works fine. I wish it had a base to remove it from to pour instead of unplugging it each time. It is nice that it can be unplugged from either end. It is nice and well made though. Very sturdy.
Great way to make less expensive 'milk'
Fred Bey✓ Verified Purchase•October 26, 2023
Have a friend who only drinks the 'foo foo' milk, so i decided to get this for when she stays over. It was a HUGE success. Made almond milk with a big bag of raw almonds that wasn't nearly as expensive as roasted almonds. Followed the recipe, and it was quite easy to do. It doesn't make a super large amount, but it was more than she needed for a day's worth of coffee. Make sure to clean it as soon as you pour the 'milk' out because it becomes problematic if you wait too long. All in all a hit.
Dented Machine But Awesome
The Velvet✓ Verified Purchase•October 12, 2023
My wife and I calculated this to be a whole lot cheaper than even nut milk at Costco which makes it awesome. It makes delicious nut milk in just a few minutes, the recipes given are all great and it's a cinch to clean. How come every other appliance doesn't/can't clean itself like this can??? It's 2023!
Our unit arrived dented on the side somehow though which is sad because it looks so nice otherwise. It also mentions using a milk strainer/nut bag a couple times in the instructions but we searched all through everything and there was no bag to be found. Not sure if these were instructions from other model and they just didn't bother printing out a new one for this unit but it would've come in handy
All in all I'd recommend this to anyone looking to make their own nut milk for a hobby, for fun, to save money and to know where their nut milk came from and how it's made

Pro: Ground very finely, quiet, and self cleaning.
Con: It doesn't have a residue separation function. It may be a drawback for those who are used to drinking smooth soy milk. - At a price of over a hundred dollars, it should have this function.
Note: Use a high temperature setting when making soy milk. I initially tried using a medium temperature, but the soy milk didn't cook thoroughly and had a raw soybean taste. Uncooked soybeans and soy milk contain substances such as protease inhibitors, lectins, and saponins. These toxic substances are heat-resistant, and consuming partially cooked soy milk can cause poisoning. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, bloating, and diarrhea. In severe cases, it can lead to dehydration and electrolyte imbalances.
I also tried it make my favorite dessert black sesame & peanut paste, it came out excellent.
