I ordered and received a roll-up puzzle mat, not the current listing showing a puzzle board with drawers.
The puzzle mat isn't a new idea, but I'd never actually used one before. My mat came with no instructions, but the concept isn't hard to figure out. There is a cylindrical inflatable that you blow up using a tiny pump, which is included. Then, you position your puzzle on the big felt mat and roll it around the inflatable center piece. Once rolled, secure your roll with the three straps provided and slip the whole thing into the storage bag. Pretty neat!
The mat was large enough that we were actually able to fit two puzzles on it and roll them together with decent success. It's a HUGE piece of felt, so I slid one puzzle onto one side of the mat, folded the mat over, slid the other puzzle onto the top, then rolled it up. Was it perfect? No. But most pieces did stay in place through multiple trials. I was comfortable enough with the end result to go ahead and leave my son's half-done and mostly done puzzles in there for the next time he wanted to work on them.
It also comes with puzzle trays, but I wouldn't say those are particularly useful unless you don't already have something similar. We have plastic puzzle trays we like, so those were extra.
Overall, this is a functional item that works pretty well. The quality isn't super great and it doesn't have instructions at all. But it mostly gets the job done.

My fiancee loves doing puzzles and generally would build them on thin plywood or heavy cardboard and then store under the bed. A few times when she got to the end she found a piece or 2 missing...

This obviously was a huge upgrade. Its bamboo is smooth and the build is well enough to do the job. The 4 drawers have a magnet that will keep from opening. They open and close fairly well but I would not say they glide. One was a little problematic but I fixed easy enough.
The drawers allow for great storage and organization with the sectioning of puzzle pieces have fit together...
It has been a welcome addition and enhanced her puzzle experience significantly...
Cons- Built well but had some small flaws out of the box- easily fixable

I love doing puzzles, but multiple cats and 2 small children make it difficult to complete a puzzle without losing pieces. This puzzle tray is the perfect solution. Now I can do my 1000 piece puzzles on one table, and easily move it whenever I need to. It also comes with a felt cover for extra protection for my puzzles in progress. The 4 drawers are great for sorting and storing pieces, and the drawers slide all the way out so you can move the drawers where you need to make sorting easier. The quality is great - the wood is smooth and beautiful, and no broken pieces during shipping. I deducted 1 star because I wish it had a handle to make moving it easier when it doesn't have a puzzle on it - it's a little heavy and definitely awkward to move, given its size. But other than that, I love this puzzle tray and it has allowed me to do puzzles again!

I received a completely different product than the one currently shown in the photo above "“ and despite some minor flaws, it's a casual puzzle lover's dream. This kit includes a large felt mat that's lightweight and easy to roll, allowing you to store your puzzle for later use. As someone with minimal surface space around the house, being able to clean up my in-progress project in mere seconds is super convenient. The kit also includes a tube that allows for long-term storage of your puzzle, along with four individual felt trays that make it easier to organize and separate the pieces. Definitely a practical tool, IMO. I do wish the felt trays were a touch larger, though "“ and the felt mat, while I love its functionality, easily creases and can easily slide along smooth surfaces, which can end up in a potential puzzle disaster (been there, done that). Maybe a non-slip rubber mat for the next edition? All in all, a nice set for casual puzzlers.
