This product definitely works as advertised, though it is somewhat weird to have the entire area 100% numb. I wrapped it about 4 hours before my tattoo. It was my second session, for a very detailed tattoo and my artist recommended I use numbing cream to avoid the pain of being tattooed over the same area so much. Absolutely worked, though I did get a bit of weird "skin waking up" sensation towards the end of the 6 hour session. If the session lasts longer, I would recommend pausing and reapplying before it starts to wear off. The little container seems very small when you get it, but it holds a lot! I feel like I barely used any of it, even though I definitely slathered it on thickly. This is the best tattoo-specific numbing cream I've found so far. The emu oil seems to give it a bit of extra kick. Recommended!

This works great! I got a thigh tat, not a lot of shading but the parts that were I didn't feel a thing. Just him resting his hand on my thigh (the pressure) he went a few places that I didn't put the cream at like more on the inner thigh, which is my fault. I could definitely tell there wasn't cream there, and the shading almost did me in 🤣 but that's my fault. Definitely will be using this again. Wish it was a bigger size!

I just used this today. I have a lot of tattoos and never used numbing cream but I was nervous about getting my sternum underboob tattoo because of all the comments on how much it hurt. I put it on 2.5 hrs before my session and wrapped it tightly. I did an outline of my tattoo for my first session and if u know about tattoos a #3 for the needles hurts like a"¦..I did not feel a thing I had to even look down to make sure he even touched my skin..it says to apply for 60 mins but the longer u let sit the better results as I can attest to. I only felt the need in places I missed putting the cream. So as far as pain when I did feel it I'd say it was a 3-4

I used this cream before getting a large tattoo on my outer thigh. I thought I was going to get the tattoo on the front on my thigh, so that's where I put the cream, with a little naturally spreading onto my outer thigh. When I was getting tattooed, I could DEFINITELY tell the areas that were numb and those that weren't. Where I wasn't numb, the pain was almost unbearable at times, but where I was numbed, I literally couldn't feel a thing. Not. A. Thing. It was literally the most relaxing & enjoyable experience I've had getting a tattoo, since I couldn't feel most of it. I 100% recommend this cream!!!

when i started this tat (handpoke), i could barely get through the basic linework because it hurt so much, especially around/on my kneecap. it took me a lot longer than it usually would to get the essentials down.
i followed the directions, slathering on a thick layer and letting it sit tightly under saran wrap for a little over an hour (didn't time it exactly, was getting some work done in the meantime). i could barely feel anything at all in the spots where i used to flinch and wince after just one stab! i'll definitely be buying this again when i end up running out.
