Great for an affordable solution to allow for selected and prioritized family responders. The speaker on the base station is extremely loud and the mic is sensitive enough to hear from even distance rooms. Would be risky to consider this an emergency device, but works great in a situation where time allows responder to come investigate reason for call activation.
Cons so far
If a responder connects to the call by pressing 5 and hangs up without pressing 9 to end connection, the base unit remains off-hook. This could be a deal killer even for our simplified communication needs. Still investigating this issue.
Wrist button arrived with the buckle strap installed upside down, we reversed this piece. Dad has worn this for almost 2 weeks with no complaints

We just installed this unit on Sunday so we've only had it for 4 days. We did make some test calls and it worked fine. We programmed it to call my cell phone first, and then my daughter's home phone. I have poor cell reception at home so it didn't get the call until the unit had already gone on to the next number. But hey, that's ok with us, as long as one of us gets the call. And my cell did get the call, just a little later. I like it that the person who presses the help button can also talk to the person who received the call. It seems like a good choice for us. I would like to rate it again in 6 months!

If you have a loved one who may simply need to call for local family help with the simple push of a button, this thing can do the job. It seems a pointless delay at significant expense to have them call an operator who then calls for help when they could simply call a local family member. This was pretty easy to set up. My only beef is that the voice quality of the message is not too good, but it is understandable. Also, whoever is on the receiving end of the call MUST know how to enter the correct codes to keep it from continuing on to the next two numbers.

The response time with this device is second to none! I would've given the full 5 stars, but they sent me the wrong color (I ordered gray, but they sent me white). But in the end I guess it doesn't really matter what color it is, if it's helping to save a life!
