A little difficult for 6 year olds

This mosaic kit comes with billions of tiny colored rocks. Trust me, you'll want to put them in some sort of container when you first open them because stepping on them is no fun. The pieces are TINY. The directions say this is appropriate for 6 year olds and I have to say that I got this for my granddaughter who is almost 7. It was a little beyond her skill level even though she's a very crafty kidlet. I found the easiest way to do this was to cover a section with glue and then plop the stones on rather than trying to glue each stone independently. Make sure it's dry before trying to stand it all up. And wait to put your picture in it until everything has thoroughly dried. It's a nice gift for kiddos 8+.

Because this is a mosaic craft, there are lots of pieces. Little pieces. Tiny pieces that are easy to accidentally spill and make a big mess. I recommend doing this craft on a cookie sheet to keep everything contained.
