I have received two packs of wool drying balls. There are three balls in each ball. It feels soft and it has very light sheep smell. The balls feels soft on touch. I was concern that my cloth might smell like that. However, it does not have any odor after drying it for forty minutes. My dress does not look wrinkle at all, which saves me time from ironing it.

These Grove Co. Wool Dryer Balls come with total 2 boxes. Each box contains 3 laundry balls, so total 6 laundry balls in the package. Each ball is in natural white color and I smelled the ball a little bit, there is no artificial scent at all. The only scent I can sense is a little bit natural wool's scent, which is lovely to me.
You use 3 balls for each load, according to the direction on the box. I just tried these laundry balls today, they work well. All my clothes came out soft and didn't feel these is static electricity in them. I think these laundry balls fulfill their purpose.
I really love the reusable feature of these laundry balls. From the description on Amazon, Wool Dryer Balls last for up to 1,000 loads. The number of loads is incredible and last many years. Save the money and protect the environment. When not in use, I think these balls are also a nice decoration to the laundry room. I am going to get a clear glass jar to store these balls and display them on the counter in my laundry room. :)
Overall, I like these laundry balls and I would recommend!

Made in Nepal with New Zealand wool

I received my order with 2 boxes of 3 each (so 6 balls total) 100% pure New Zealand wool dryer balls. It states "responsibly made in Nepal with New Zealand wool" on the box and "manufactured for Grove collaborative, San Francisco CA". I did have to set mine aside for a couple of weeks before using because they smell like sheep, so I don't doubt their authenticity! If you don't like the natural smell you can add essential oil.
I find I end up with static if I don't use a dryer sheet, so next time I will try some of the tips from the box which include dampening them a little at the start of the cycle and also putting a safety pin in one of the balls to diffuse static.
I've included a size comparison photo next to a tennis ball.

I've always thought these were a gimmick. I decided to try it because Grove is a reliable
Company. I was very shocked at
The result.
Clothes -super soft
Pet hair - big reduction
Dryer time- reduced
I've since become a convert and it's all I use. Highly recommend.
Note - there is some noise with these. Not
Like shoes in the dryer Loud but definitely some noise. Not enough to bother me.

I recently got a heat-pump style dryer. It is ventless and uses 110 outlet rather than the 220. This was a must so we didnt' have to do a major remodel on our new-to-us-but-old house that has no 220 outlets or a dryer vent. The manufacturer says to avoid using dryer sheets so I decided to give dryer balls a try. My family all use them and have raved about them so I figured what the heck - it's worth a try! I've used them for about 5 loads now and they seem fine. I haven't really noticed anything amazing happening in the dryer, but the clothes come out decent.
The box has the following tips/tricks written on it:
* You may find the balsdry your laundry faster and more efficiently on two two medicum sized loads rather than one large load.
* Try pinning a safety pin into one of the dryer balls. The metal diffuses the static, leaving your clothes shock-free.
* To prevent static and over-drying, spray dryer balls with water to dampen before using.
* for a lovely natural scent, add 3-6 drops of your favorite essential oil(s) to the wool dryer balls.
I have been spriting the dryer balls with water before each load but honestly not sure if that does anything since my dryer is unique in that it has more humidity with the drying process. I've not noticed any static, though, but then again my dryer doesn't seem to produce much static to begin with. Overall they are a good replacement for coated dryer sheets as clothes do come out soft and static free.
