My son plays drums , but this is so perfect to play around and practice without the loud noise and going into the garage. He sets it up on hos desk and goes at it. It fits in his book bag and ge can bring along with him and practice with friends and just play. Keeps him busy for hours. Good sound but not so loud it disturbs the whole house. Our younger son plays with it also and now wants one for himself .
Do not expect too much from it.

This is one of those gifts you get for someone's kids you may not like much. It def makes alit of noise..but it's supposed to. We all wanted to be drummer at some time if our lives. No more need to bang on the school desk or on your books etc.. now you got your own portable drum set all in one easy fun drum pads. Working pretty well so far. Now no one in my house knows how to play drums for real, but man our my kids having a lot of fun trying to make good beats. And how this is set up you can actually do that for yourself, heck I even get down and try to throw a couple beats in. Even my wife plays with this. So far this portable drum set is a hit with my family. Never had another one like this so can only go off this version, but what seeing here this is really fun. Makes kids happy which is making my wife and me happy. But what is the best thing is the fact that it brings the whole family together to do beats that each of us try and we play it against each other. Like game night with crosswords or some card game. Instead we all take turns doing our best to make or copy a beat we like. So far so good
