We bought this has a Christmas gift for the parents but ended up deciding to keep it!

From the moment you switch it on, the thing that really stands out is its incredibly realistic flame effects. The flames dance, jump, and flicker. We put it on our living room and it's hard to pay attention else! The attention to detail is impeccable, making it hard to believe that these flames are not the real deal. My Main take aways are:

1. The flames are great. They have a ton of different preset colors to choose from. I like the white the best. You can also adjust the flame height.
2. The heat blower is really powerful. The couch is about 7 feet back and I can feel the warmth when I turn it on. It's also independent of the flames. You can have a roaring fire visual without it getting too hot in the room.
3. This thing is massive. It's really well built. I would recommend moving it with two people.
4. The timer function is nice. We use it a lot so we don't accidently forget to turn it off.
5. The remote brings it all together. Is fairly simple and not very big. It's nice changing the settings from the couch.
6. It comes with a wall mount already on the back. We currently just use the included floor stand but we plan on recessing the wall and giving it a permanent home.

In conclusion, this thing is awesome! It's realistic flames, sleek design, and powerful heating are exactly what we were looking for. It's more than just a heater, it really can make a room stand out!

TIP! The instructions say the glass cover slides out, it doesn't that easy. You first have to remove the 4 silver screws on each side. It's really simple but it's not obvious you have to do it.

It has so many different background colors as you can see from my video. The remote makes it super easy to control from any where in the room. It comes with the log kit or the crystals for the inside. It can be flush mounted in the wall which will require some work on your part, surface mounted on the wall (much easier), or you can put legs on it and it can be freestanding (easiest of all options). It throws out a nice amount of heat also. Instructions say 1500 watts and 5100 btus. It also has a nice quiet fan too push that heat out into the room. I highly recommend this unit. It is an affordably priced, beautiful addition to any room. Also shipping was super fast and unit was packaged very well.
