these fit my tires great hoping they work out really good in the snow. ive never used tire chains before but need them since my new car isnt 4wd. they are pretty easy to figure out how to put on even though there were no type of instructions at all. the bag was ripped that they came in which isnt a big deal though they are still usable. seem pretty heavy duty and have lots of weight to them!

I have a similar version that's a single chain per piece so I was familiar with how to install these. It's easy once you get the hang of it. The single chain ones work well so I imagine, with three chains per piece, there will be even more traction. These are especially handy in Big Bear mountain because the roads can get really icy. Drive slow and be safe.

Having just moved to Washington state, I ordered these tire chains to be ready for those days when the passes are icy and chains are mandatory. These chains are really heavy-duty and should help me get through the iciest conditions. They come in their own zip-up storage case and a pair of gloves in case ou were too silly to know that you need to wear gloves in the snow. Seriously, though, I think I could fit them on over my regular gloves and keep a little drier with them. There are 8 chains, each of which has 3 length of chain, so it is probably more than you would need for most situations. They are pretty easy to install, with a ratchet system to tighten them on the tire. I agree with the other reviews, however, that say you only want to use these for a short distance, unless you don't mind getting your tires and wheels scraped up. Removed one star for that.

This snow chain is different from traditional chains in that it does not require you to move your car to install it, which is a significant advantage if you are already stuck in the snow. It also has more contact area than other snow chains, which I expect will improve its performance. While it is not designed to be left on for the entire winter season or driven on for 10,000 miles, I will keep it in my emergency bag for peace of mind. Is it a better design? I hope I don't need to find out.

Overall these are pretty nice to have if you get in a bind. They come in a bag that keeps them together pretty effectively. The gloves that come with them are basically just gardening gloves so they might be better than nothing all although they really went on fast enough bare hands wasn't an issue.
