We have had our German Shepherd for almost a year now, she was not even a year old when we got her and she is such a good dog. However, there were some behaviors that made her really hard to deal with, especially with a toddler and other animals on our land. One of them was that she would bulldoze people which became a pretty dangerous situation with my son a few times. She's a big dog and very strong, we've tried to train her in a variety of ways and nothing was working.

1 WEEK AFTER HAVING THIS DEVICE and we have an entirely new dog in the best way possible. The animals are getting along, there is no chaos and she is actually listening to our instructions. We rarely have to even use the collar and when we do, the noise is enough. We were feeling so frustrated with our lack of results and the issues that we were having with her were big ones. They all completely resolved within just a few days of training with the collar for two 15-20 minute sessions a day.

So I have a Husky who I was at my wits end with because they are quite the "wild" breed. He could jump a 6 foot fence and loved to run the neighborhood. He is friendly, but it is still a nusiance to the neighbors and or course not safe for him. I chased, coaxed, sweet-talked and everything in between to get him to come inside the house. Husky's are stubborn, smart, quick and aren't the best listeners. I tried so many things to fix the problem, but nothing was working. I am big on researching products before I buy and after much reading and listening to reviews, I went with the Jugbow Shock Collar. I have to preface that I do not like shock collars in general because I know they are more of a painful way to train a dog, however, this particular brand allows you to take off the prongs to the collar and use either the "alarm" mode or the "vibration" mode to refocus your dog. I didn't want to accidently use the shock mode, so this was super important to me. the Jugbow E-Collar has the shock, vibrate and sound mode to train and they have different levels to use as needed. Dogs are super smart, and when I put my dogs collar on, he immediatley realizes that his behavior needs to be in check. He does try to push the limits though and when he does so, I use the sound frequency first to get his attention and that usually works. If he is extra stubborn, I first use the sound mode and then switch to the vibration (he responds to the lowest vibration so far) and he comes immediately to wherever I am. I can't stress enough how this has helped. The calling, yelling and chasing after him has completely stopped! And the fact that I can do this in a painless way since the vibration is just annoying to him, not hurting him, is awesome! The Jugbow comes large enough to be able to adjust to your pets neck and cut the excess. You can leave it if you want of course, but I choose to cut off the part of the collar that was hanging loose. I then kind of took a match to the ends to keep the material from fraying and it was perfect. Charging is easy and frankly holds a charge for days! I do turn the collar off when not in use, but a full charge lasts a really long time. I personally suggest taking out the metal "shock" prongs and training with the other two modes because training with least amount of force is the way to go. Aestitics isn't really important, but I love the color of the collar and remote as well. I am so happy with this product and encourage everyone to try it if they are having difficulty with their hard-headed dog.

This collar has been very effective for training my golden retriever. The device itself is not bulky so it stays in place well. The features work as expected. Only had to use the shock feature a couple of times. Now we use the beep feature to help her mind the property line. I have found the beep really gets her attention and she knows it means to turn around. And the battery life is amazing! I can go two weeks before a charge is required. It's also nice that one cord can charge both devices simultaneously.

I bought this as a training aid for my Belgian Malinois. He was 6 months old, and his previous owner hadn't don't anything with him. I have other pets and this breed can be really stubborn and have a high drive. This product was amazing. When used correctly and consistently, it can aid in training even difficult dogs. I love that the sound and vibrations has many levels to adjust and the shock starts at nothing so you can work at finding the right setting for your dog. This saved my dog from running in the street once wheis ball got away from him. This also helped me train him not to chase my chickens and he learned to be a successful livestock guardian. I also have a parrot who he needed to hear to give space to. His recall is perfect. So he is also safe around other dogs or when we have unexpected company. I never have to worry about my dog running away. This has so many uses in training. Using this device correctly is key. No, it does not hurt you dog if used properly.
More about the product... The lock button on the remote is great and the button placement is perfect for quick use when you need it fast. What really amazed me is the distance in which it works and the battery life on both the collar and remote. And I love that it's rechargeable! I've seen other collars and I like the convenience of the clip on this one so I can put it on quickly. The different prongs are great too for thick and thin coats. And the light on the collar blinks to tell you it's on, engaging, or if the battery is about to die. Fantastic set! I did my homework and I'm really happy with my purchase!

So far the collar works great, I love it! Ordered from Amazon, got it in a couple of days and the price was a bonus. Thi is better than the last 2 collars I have had before this one. It is totally waterproof, has 4 options, locks and the range is amazing.
