I saw this cookie jar when I was first looking for one and then thought I'd continue looking. Well, I just should have picked it to begin with because nothing was as cute as it is! It's perfect for a dozen or so homemade cookies and sits nicely on the table where they're easy to get to (dangerous! LOL) It also has four little rubber pad things on the bottom, so it doesn't scratch the furniture. I washed the inside of the jar before I used it, but only the inside - not sure how the little pads would hold up in soapy dishwater.
You have to hold on to the jar when taking the lid off. I guess that's a good thing because then you know that lid is on there securely.
All in all, it's a great little cookie jar and I'm glad I got it~! (I even posted a pic of it on my FB page!)

I was about to give up looking for this canister when I spotted it on Amazon Warehouse. I purchased it expecting to find some sort of defect. The item arrived promptly and is in excellent condition. The size is just about the same as the medium canisters you would get with a generic set. The design is etched into the canister instead of pasted on raising the quality standard of the item. The material is ceramic so it is fragile but thick enough so that everyday use should not be a problem. I love the wood lid it fits right in with the other kitchen decor. I would buy them again in different designs were they to become available.
